Kevin Whyms is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist of bespoke music for use in TV, Film. Games & Advertising


Most recently, he provided the original score for award winning director Kim Bartleys’ three part documentary John Connors Acting Academy (RTE 2). He also composed and produced a closing film credit sequence with Sinead O’Connor. He worked on the critically acclaimed feature film Here Are The Young Men and  documentary series, John Connors Acting Academy and The UnTeachables. 


In 2019 he had the great honor of performing one of his works in Carnegie Hall with The Choral Scholars of UCD. 

Kevin likes to work closely and collaboratively with visual creatives and story tellers to provide exclusive quality music that stirs the imagination and ultimately enhances the project. 

His unique sound is generated by merging the purity of the organic with the power of the synthetic to produce colourful, imaginative and passionate works.

Each note produced, breathes energy, space and dynamics. Every frequency and tone is carefully sculpted so that perfection is not only achieved at the end, it's there from the beginning.

Kevin has worked with premium brands like Disney Interactive, BBC, RTE, Setanta Sports, Electric Ireland and Dulux, to deliver custom scores that compliment their sonic identity. He has also scored for Feature Film, Short Film and feature length documentaries such as Excalibur: Behind the Movie, Dave Gallagher: The Donegal All-Black as well as the award winning X-box and Playstation game “Pure” (Disney Interactive).


Kevin is on the board of directors of The Screen Composers Guild of Ireland. He is also a represented composer at Contemporary Music Cente.
