About
Kevin Whyms is an Irish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist of bespoke music for use in TV, Film. Games & Advertising, based in Dublin.

In the 20+ years he has been producing and composing music, Kevin has continued to develop the art of fusing the organic with the power of the synthetic. By combining guitar, clarinet, orchestral and choral arrangements with digital / analogue synthesis and modern sampling techniques, Kevin can sculpt a unique soundscape and sonic palette with which to trigger emotion and imagination.

His portfolio includes music for Disney Interactive, Netflix, PBS, BBC, Virgin Media, RTE and Jameson International. Most recently, he has composed and produced a closing film credit sequence with Sinead O’Connor.

He has recently worked on the critically acclaimed feature film Here Are The Young Men starring Anya Taylor Joy and documentary series The UnTeachables and John Connor Acting Academy.. In 2019 he performed his work in Carnegie Hall with The Choral Scholars of UCD.

Kevin likes to work closely and collaboratively with visual creatives and story tellers to provide exclusive quality music that stirs the imagination and ultimately enhances the project. Each note produced, breathes energy, space and dynamics. Every frequency and tone is carefully sculpted so that perfection is not only achieved at the end, it's there from the beginning.
Kevin is a founding member of The Screen Composers Guild of Ireland and he currently sits on the board. He is also a represented composer at Contemporary Music Centre.
